The Wordsworth Inn, Grasmere, is opening a new chapter and seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen team from day one. You'll help deliver high-quality dishes, manage your station, and work closely with colleagues in a food-led operation with ambitious plans.

Whether you're experienced or studying, your enthusiasm for great service will shine as you help create exceptional guest experiences in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Accommodation may be available for colleagues.

The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere is preparing to open its doors, and were looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and be part of an exciting new chapter from day one. With 55 bedrooms, 196 internal covers and 148 external covers, this is a substantial, food-led operation with ambitious plans, located in the heart of Grasmere.

Youll Fit Right Inn

As Commis Chef, youll be at the heart of our kitchen, working closely with the team to deliver high-quality dishes and maintain our standards. Whether youre experienced or studying, your passion for food will shine through as you take responsibility for your section. Youll manage food safety, storage, labeling, and adherence to recipes and specifications.

Your role involves efficient, collaborative work with kitchen, front-of-house, and management teams. Youll prepare food items, operate standard kitchen equipment safely, and maintain a clean station.
