Job summary

The Wateredge Inn in Ambleside, part of The Inn Collection Group, seeks a Commis Chef to join a lively lake‑side kitchen. You will work with the kitchen team to deliver high‑quality dishes and support storage, labeling, and recipe adherence.

Whether you’re experienced or studying, you’ll contribute to a fast‑paced kitchen, use standard equipment safely, and maintain a clean station while developing through our training programs and enjoying staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a commis chef or studying in culinary arts.
• Fundamental kitchen skills with a focus on safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items and assist chefs to maintain quality standards.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized station and store ingredients correctly.
• Follow recipes, portion controls and labeling requirements, and ensure food safety.
