Overview

Manpower UK is seeking a Commis Chef for a permanent, full-time position at an established restaurant in Thame. This role requires flexibility to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends, evenings, and mornings, with split shifts or straight-through working. You will receive a salary of up to £26,000 per annum plus a service charge of up to £3,000 yearly. No Monday working is required, with Sunday lunchtime shifts only and one extra evening off weekly. Your primary duty is to prepare, cook, and serve meals to the Head Chef’s standards, assisting a Chef de Partie. Live-in options are available for a small fee.

This is a Full-Time role, working 5/7 days and would need flexibility to work Weekends, Evenings and Mornings. The role is paying £26000pa + Service Charge (up to £3000 per year). No Monday working as restaurant is closed Sunday lunchtime working only. Allocated one extra evening off per week. Split Shifts required between shifts/straight through working. Car parking on site. Role details

• Overall Objective: To prepare, cook and serve meals that meet the standards set by the Head Chef.
• A Commis Chef assists a section chef, also known as a Chef de Partie.
• The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:
• Assisting in the food preparation process
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
• Assisting other Chefs
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Assisting with stock rotation/Cleaning stations
• Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
