Job summary

Manpower Recruitment, an established agency, is seeking a Full Time Permanent Commis Chef for an established restaurant based in Chinnor, Oxfordshire. The role is 5 days per week with flexibility for weekends, evenings and mornings, and includes a salary of £26,000 per year plus a service charge up to £3,000.

There is no Monday work, Sunday lunch is required, and live-in options are available for a small fee.

• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
• Assisting other Chefs
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Assisting with stock rotation/Cleaning stations

Manpower Recruitment are looking for a Full Time Permanent, Commis Chef for an established restaurant based in Chinnor, Oxfordshire

This is a Full-Time role, working 5/7 days and would need flexibility to work Weekends, Evenings and Mornings

The role is paying £26000pa + Service Charge (up to £3000 per year)

No Monday working as restaurant is closed

Sunday lunchtime working only

Allocated one extra evening off per week.

Split Shifts required between shifts/straight through working

Overall Objective:

To prepare, cook and serve meals that meet the standards set by the Head Chef.

A Commis Chef assists a section chef, also known as a Chef de Partie. The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:

• Assisting in the food preparation process
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
• Assisting other Chefs
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Assisting with stock rotation/Cleaning stations
• Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
