Job summary

Manpower Recruitment is seeking a Full Time Permanent Commis Chef for an established restaurant in Chinnor, Oxfordshire. The role is 5/7 days with flexibility for weekends, evenings and mornings. No Monday shift and one extra evening off per week.

Live-in options available for a small fee. Salary £26,000 per year plus service charge up to £3,000. You will prepare, cook and serve meals meeting Head Chef standards, assist with stock, deliveries and safety standards to ensure great dining

Qualifications

• Experience as Commis Chef or similar in a fast-paced kitchen is advantageous.
• Ability to work under Head Chef guidance and manage multiple tasks.

• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish

• Helping with deliveries and restocking

The role is paying £26000pa + Service Charge (up to £3000 per year)

• No Monday working as restaurant is closed
• Allocated one extra evening off per week.
• Split Shifts required between shifts/straight through working
• Live in options available for a small fee

Overall Objective:
To prepare, cook and serve meals that meet the standards set by the Head Chef.
A Commis Chef assists a section chef, also known as a Chef de Partie. The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:

• Assisting in the food preparation process
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
• Assisting other Chefs
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Assisting with stock rotation/Cleaning stations
• Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
