The Punchbowl in Lapworth is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join our experienced kitchen team. You will work under skilled chefs, preparing and cooking dishes with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Assist with the smooth running of your section during busy service periods.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with food preparation and service.
• Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures are followed.
• Help to develop and contribute to new dishes and seasonal menus.
• Maintain stock levels and minimise waste through effective planning.
• Inspect deliveries for quality and freshness, ensuring proper storage.
• Take responsibility for maintaining a clean and organised workstation.
• Contribute to team meetings and training sessions to enhance performance.
