Job summary

Nobu London is seeking a committed Commis Chef to support the kitchen team in delivering high standards of food preparation, cooking, and presentation. You will learn and apply techniques, ingredients, and Nobu classics under senior chefs, contributing to seasonal specials and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Learn ingredients, flavours, mise-en-place, knife skills and cooking techniques.
• Understand Nobu's classic dishes, such as Black Cod Miso.
• Assist in creating and developing Nobu specials, seasonal dishes and dishes for special occasions.

As a Commis Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen by assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to the highest standards. You will work closely with Senior Chefs, gaining hands-on-experience and learning essential skills to develop your culinary career.

What You Will Do:

You will Learn about different ingredients, infusing flavours, mise-en-place, knife skills and cooking techniques, UnderstandNobu bible of classic dishes, such as the iconic Black Cod Miso, known all over the world. You will be immersed in the experience of helping to create and develop Nobu specials, seasonal dishes, and dishes for special occasions

We want you to use your passion to develop your skills and knowledge,to safeguard our reputation by following the highest food safety standards. Whilst at Nobu London you may work indifferent locations/countries on task force, supporting seasonal pop-ups, offsite catering and special events

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working in fast paced kitchen.
• Willingness to work in a team.
• Willing and able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings when required.
• Awareness of manual handling techniques.
• Experience of kitchen equipment.
