Job summary

BYD Europe in the London area is seeking a Tender Specialist - Commercial Vehicle to support the Sales Manager with tendering activities for our bus and coach solutions. This fully office-based role is based in Hounslow with occasional reading alignment.

You will collect tender information, assess requirements, coordinate with finance, technical and legal teams, and lead bid responses to meet tight deadlines while building client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience in Commercial/ Tendering/Sales role
• Bachelor's degree and above preferred
• Strong knowledge of procurement/tender processes and contract terms
• Technical understanding about electric vehicles and/or buses would be advantageous
• Good command of English is essential, excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support the Sales Manager in tendering activities
• Collect tender information, review requirements, assess risks, identify deliverables, and clarify ambiguities
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and post-tender negotiations
• Compile high-quality responses for bid submission within required timescales
• Coordinate with internal departments to collect required documentation
• Lead tender meetings and present/QA sessions, and monitor follow-up actions
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners during bidding
• Maintain tender resources and library, ensure documents are filed and up-to-date
• Carry out post-tender reviews and market research to inform improvements
