Job summary

Alexander Dennis is seeking a proactive Bid and Tender Manager to support business development with Combined Authorities, coordinate cross-functional bid submissions, and translate customer requirements into compliant, competitive solutions across the UK.

You will manage tender responses for public procurement, build strong customer relationships, and report to the Head of Franchising and Bids, helping secure future business and strengthen the company’s marketplace position.

• Confident communication with stakeholders at all levels, including senior customer representatives

• Ability to prepare compelling tender responses
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams

• Experience within the bus, transport, manufacturing, or public sector procurement sectors (bonus)
• Knowledge of Combined Authority transport operations and franchising models (bonus)
• Experience producing high-quality tender submissions for public procurement exercises (bonus)
• Technical knowledge of buses and vehicle specifications (bonus)
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (bonus)
