Job summary

Connect Appointments in Clydebank is seeking a Commercial Spray Painter for immediate starts on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The role runs 8:00–16:30, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays.

You will prepare vehicle bodies for coating, apply solid and metallic finishes, and read technical drawings. You will also ensure safety and communicate with supervisors and engineering teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience painting commercial vehicle chassis, cabs and bodywork.
• Able to read and work from technical drawings, schematics, and SOPs.
• Strong communicator with interpersonal skills.
• Motivated and able to work in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicle bodies for application of paint coating.

Connect Appointments have immediate starts available for a Commercial Spray Painter in Clydebank on a temporary-to-permanent basis!

Pay rate: £17 per hour

Schedule: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (with an early finish on Fridays).

As a Commercial Spray Painter, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing vehicle bodies for the application of paint coating to different types of vehicle bodies and rolling stock
• Painting solid and metallic finishes
• Using and selecting appropriate tools, equipment, and materials as required for work tasks
• Using your core technical skills and experience to complete tasks on time and safely
• Communicating any discrepancies or changes to your supervisor and engineering teams
• Ensuring your work area is maintained in a safe and tidy manner

The ideal Commercial Spray Painter will have:

• Experience painting commercial vehicle chassis, cabs and bodywork
• Comfortable with reading and working from technical drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Motivated, and able to work in a deadline driven, busy environment
