Job summary

Connect Appointments is seeking a Commercial Spray Painter for Clydebank with immediate starts on a temporary-to-permanent basis. You will work 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays, earning £17 per hour in a tidy, safety-focused environment.

You will prepare vehicle bodies, apply paint coatings, and follow technical drawings and SOPs. Strong communication and the ability to work to deadlines are essential to succeed in a busy team and deliver high-quality finishes.

Qualifications

• Experience painting commercial vehicle chassis, cabs and bodywork.
• Able to read technical drawings, schematics, and SOPs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated and able to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle bodies for paint coating on various vehicle bodies and rolling stock.
• Paint solid and metallic finishes.
• Select and use appropriate tools, equipment and materials.
• Apply core technical skills to complete tasks on time and safely.
• Communicate discrepancies or changes to supervisor and engineers.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area.

Pay rate: £17 per hour

Schedule: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (with an early finish on Fridays).

As a

Commercial

Spray Painter, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing vehicle bodies for the application of paint coating to different types of vehicle bodies and rolling stock
• Painting solid and metallic finishes
• Using and selecting appropriate tools, equipment, and materials as required for work tasks
• Using your core technical skills and experience to complete tasks on time and safely
• Communicating any discrepancies or changes to your supervisor and engineering teams
• Ensuring your work area is maintained in a safe and tidy manner

The ideal

Commercial

Spray Painter will have:

• Experience painting commercial vehicle chassis, cabs and bodywork
• Comfortable with reading and working from technical drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Motivated, and able to work in a deadline driven, busy environment
