Job summary

Connect Appointments in Clydebank is seeking a Commercial Spray Painter for immediate starts on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The role runs 8:00–16:30, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays.

You will prepare vehicle bodies for coating, apply solid and metallic finishes, and read technical drawings. You will also ensure safety and communicate with supervisors and engineering teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience painting commercial vehicle chassis, cabs and bodywork.
• Able to read and work from technical drawings, schematics, and SOPs.
• Strong communicator with interpersonal skills.
• Motivated and able to work in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicle bodies for application of paint coating.
• Painting solid and metallic finishes.
• Using and selecting appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for tasks.
• Completing tasks on time and safely using core technical skills.
• Communicating discrepancies or changes to supervisor and engineering teams.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy work area.
