Slater Heelis invites applications for a Commercial Solicitor to join the Commercial Team, working alongside the Head of Department to shape the team and drive growth in a supportive environment.

You will advise owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger organisations, drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial matters while contributing to business development with pragmatic, commercially focused advice.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Advise on supply, distribution, agency and service contracts.
• Provide commercial support on corporate transactions.
• Assist clients with B2B arrangements and risk management.
• Advise on terms, conditions, trading arrangements and policies.
• Advise on and draft technology agreements (SaaS, PaaS, Cloud, software development).
• Support data protection, data transfers and data compliance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with practical advice.
• Play an active role in business development and networking to grow the team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious lawyer looking to work on a broad range of commercial matters, advising a diverse client base while developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of commercial matters, working closely with businesses at every stage of their growth, from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to larger corporate organisations.

Your Work Will Include

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
• Advising on supply, distribution, agency and service contracts
• Providing commercial support on corporate transactions
• Assisting clients with business-to-business arrangements and risk management
• Advising on terms and conditions, trading arrangements and commercial policies
• Advising on and drafting technology agreements - SaaS, PaaS, Cloud Services and software/application development
• Supporting clients with data protection, data transfers and data compliance matters
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through practical, commercially focused advice
• You will also play an active role in business development initiatives, networking activities and supporting the continued growth of the team.
