Slater Heelis, an award-winning full-service law firm, is seeking a Commercial Solicitor to work with our Head of Department and help grow the team. You will handle a broad range of commercial matters for diverse clients, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporates, with strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of commercial matters for owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporates
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements
• Provide commercial support on corporate transactions
• Assist clients with B2B arrangements and risk management
• Advise on terms, trading arrangements and commercial policies
• Draft technology agreements including SaaS, PaaS, cloud services and software development
• Support data protection, data transfers and data compliance matters
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development

We are seeking a Commercial Solicitor to work alongside our Head of Department, helping to shape the team and drive its continued growth and success.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious lawyer looking to work on a broad range of commercial matters, advising a diverse client base while developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of commercial matters, working closely with businesses at every stage of their growth, from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to larger corporate organisations.

Your work will include:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
• Advising on supply, distribution, agency and service contracts
• Providing commercial support on corporate transactions
• Assisting clients with business-to-business arrangements and risk management
• Advising on terms and conditions, trading arrangements and commercial policies
• Advising on and drafting technology agreements - SaaS, PaaS, Cloud Services and software/application development
• Supporting clients with data protection, data transfers and data compliance matters
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through practical, commercially focused advice
• You will also play an active role in business development initiatives, networking activities and supporting the continued growth of the team.

• Has experience advising on commercial law, IT/Tech, and non-contentious intellectual property matters
• Demonstrates excellent technical drafting and negotiation skills
• Can confidently manage a varied workload and provide pragmatic commercial advice
