Job summary

Nixon McQuade in Manchester is seeking a solicitor with NQ-4PQE to join our Commercial team. You will work on complex commercial contracts, drafting and negotiating, with exposure to major clients across sectors and AI-related projects.

Qualifications

• NQ-4PQE and qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• Experience in commercial contracts, ideally in a recognised practice or in-house.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Job description

Join a highly regarded Commercial team at a leading international law firm.

The team advises a broad range of well known clients, including major public and private sector organisations, on complex commercial contracts, outsourcing arrangements and strategic projects.

You will gain exposure to clients across technology, retail, manufacturing, sport, energy, hospitality and the public sector.

Within the team you will gain experience within a wide range of commercial matters, from commercial contract drafting/negotiation, advising on major commercial projects, implementation of AI and the transactions around it.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners who are actively involved in developing new ways of delivering legal services, gaining exposure to legal technology, AI-enabled tools and innovative approaches to complex commercial matters.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

• NQ-4PQE and be qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales.
• Experience in commercial contracts, ideally gained within a recognised commercial practice or in-house environment.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Good commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
