Job summary

Hunter Selection is working with a well-established company to appoint a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer. You'll service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems across hotels, offices, schools and restaurants in the Midlands and North UK.

This role includes installation and commissioning when required, a 1-in-5 call-out rota, and mentoring junior engineers. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus banks, a van and fuel card, door-to-door travel, and annual bonuses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• NVQ / City and Guilds in air conditioning and refrigeration.
• F-gas Cat 1 certification.
• Clean UK driving license.
• Ability to work on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, breakdowns and repairs.
• Installation and commissioning when required.
• Work on cold rooms, freezer rooms, ice machines, bottle fridges and various AC units.
• Support junior engineers to aid their development.
• Take part in a 1 in 5 call-out rota.
• Work across hotels, offices, schools and restaurants.

Commercial Refrigeration Engineer

Salary: Up to £55,000

Location: Midlands / North UK

Hours: 45 hours per week

We are looking for a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established and growing company. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys varied work across commercial refrigeration systems.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Service, maintenance, breakdowns, and repair work
• Installation and commissioning when required
• Cold rooms, freezer rooms, ice machines, bottle fridges, various AC units (domestic)
• Provide support for junior engineers to help with their development
• Take part in a call out rota (1 in 5)
• Working across commercial environments like hotels, offices, schools, restaurants

Requirements for the role:

• Driving license (UK)
• 5+ years of industry experience
• F-gas cat 1
• NVQ / City and Guilds in air conditioning and refrigeration
• Ammonia or Co2 experience (desirable)
