Job summary

Gallagher in the United Kingdom is seeking a Commercial Property Underwriter to join our team. You will underwrite risks for residential and commercial landlords, mixed occupancy properties, and high‑value portfolios, while ensuring compliance and profitability.

You’ll analyze risk information, negotiate terms with brokers, monitor portfolio performance, and contribute to product development and underwriting strategies in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting Commercial Property Owners insurance.
• Ability to analyse property values, construction details, and claims history.
• Strong communication and broker-negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented and commercially aware.
• Cert CII, Dip CII, or ACII is a plus.

We’re looking for a Commercial Property Underwriter to join our team. You’ll play a key role in underwriting and managing a portfolio of commercial property owners’ insurance risks. This is your chance to make a real impact while working in a supportive and inclusive environment.

About You

• You’ve got experience underwriting Commercial Property Owners insurance and a strong understanding of property risks.
• You’re skilled at analysing risk information, including property values, construction details, and claims history.
• You’re a great communicator and negotiator, with a proven ability to build strong broker relationships.
• You’re detail‑oriented, commercially aware, and confident in making decisions.
• Ideally, you hold or are working towards a Cert CII, Dip CII, or ACII qualification.
