Job summary

Hcb-Solicitors is seeking a qualified solicitor with at least 2 years PQE in commercial property. The role involves a broad mix of property work, including sales, leases, mortgages and pension-related transactions, with a strong emphasis on organisation and technical knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have experience across landlord and tenant matters, land registry filings, and working with management companies. Hybrid working is available after a 3-month probation period.

Qualifications

• 2+ years PQE in commercial property or equivalent.
• Excellent organisational and prioritising skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial property matters.
• Experience with landlord and tenant transactions and related agreements.
• Familiar with property sales, asset sales and auctions related matters.
• Experience with land registry and related filings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle a mix of commercial property matters including sale and purchase.
• Assist with sale of business assets and property at auction.
• Advise on secured lending, mortgages and remortgages.
• Manage landlord and tenant transactions including leases and renewals.
• Assist with pension scheme transactions and land registry applications.
• Support management company work and surrenders where applicable.

Job description

We are seeking a candidate at least 2 years PQE to undertake a mix of Commercial Property work. The candidate must have excellent organisational and prioritising skills, an excellent technical knowledge, a natural aptitude, and a general commercial property background including:

• Sale and purchase of commercial property
• Sale of business assets
• Sale of property at auction
• Secured lending, mortgages and remortgages
• Landlord and Tenant transactions including: leases; renewals; licences to assign, licence to sublet and licence to alter applications; surrenders
• Pension scheme transactions including in specie transactions
• Land registry applications including first registrations, and assisting with adverse possession
• Dealing with Section 25 notices
• Acting on behalf of management companies

Pension – The Peoples Partnership, 3% employer and 5% employee contribution which can be increased. Auto enrolled after 3 months but can join sooner if you wish.
