Legal Southwest Ltd in Sherborne seeks a Commercial Property Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support a busy property team. You will handle a varied caseload, assist with contracts, leases, SDLT and Land Registry tasks, and help with client onboarding and file management.

This role suits a Law Graduate starting a legal career or someone with property experience developing their knowledge under seasoned fee earners, with lots of hands-on training and career progression in a supportive firm.

Qualifications

• Must have a genuine interest in Commercial Property and developing a career in a law firm.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail.
• Good IT skills and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist fee earners with a range of Commercial Property transactions.
• Open new files and support client onboarding and compliance requirements.
• Prepare correspondence and legal documentation; obtain Land Registry docs and searches.
• Assist with contracts, leases and other property documentation; liaise with clients and third parties.
• Progress transactions and prepare documents for completion; handle post-completion matters.
