Job description

Our client is a major player in building large-scale construction projects in retail, commercial, and residential spaces. To maintain modern standards, they continuously refurbish their asset portfolio, resulting in several special projects on site. The company seeks to appoint a hybrid Commercial Project Manager responsible for end-to-end management of landlord works, asset enhancements, and development projects across their asset register. Projects range from £5k to £3.5M and cover all phases from feasibility to aftercare.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Feasibility & Pre-Construction:
   • Review asset management briefs and prepare budget cost plans
   • Appoint and manage design consultants
   • Run full tender processes via A-Site: prepare enquiries, analyze returns, and submit firm costs
   • Support planning applications and obtain necessary internal approvals
2. Construction & Delivery:
   • Place contracts and oversee site progress
   • Ensure compliance with HSE standards
   • Administer contracts, including variations, valuations, and final accounts
   • Manage project budgets and contribute to quarterly cost reports
   • Liaise with internal stakeholders across Development, Leasing, and Centre Management

Requirements:

• Experience as a Project or Commercial Manager in construction; retail experience is a plus
• Comfortable managing both financial aspects and on-site project delivery
• Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and H&S compliance (SMSTS/NEBOSH, CSCS Black Card)
• Familiarity with MEPH systems is advantageous
• Proficient in cost management tools, MS Office, Teams, Adobe, and PowerPoint
• Excellent initiative, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant degree or HND/HNC qualification
