We are seeking Commercial and Procurement Managers interested in working within the UK Defence Sector to join our growing Defence Team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to some of the most exciting challenges in the UK Defence Sector today, in both the Public and Private sectors.

As a Commercial / Procurement Manager at Turner & Townsend, you will work directly with our Defence Clients supporting them across the commercial lifecycle.

Roles vary based on business needs, and we encourage candidates with diverse backgrounds to consider this role. Typical responsibilities include:

• Procurement and Commercial Strategy
• End-to-End Contract Management
• Risk and Performance Management
• Negotiation and Continuous Improvement
• Governance and Compliance
• Business Analysis and Problem Solving
• Supplier Relationship and Category Management

About You

You should have commercial/procurement experience in a relevant sector and a desire to deliver world-class outcomes for Defence clients. We value passion and a commitment to making a difference.

Required Experience and Skills include:

• Knowledge of procurement principles, contract management, and sourcing
• Ability to manage risk using procurement tools and strategies
• Understanding of programme, portfolio, and project management tools
• Experience supporting procurement and tendering processes
• Monitoring supplier performance to maximize value and drive innovation

Desirable Experience

• Background in Government Procurement processes, such as Single Source and Competitive
• Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, and JCT contracts

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification(s) or equivalent experience
• Training or experience in Defence and Security Public Contracting Regulations (DSPCR), PCR, or the Procurement Act 2023

Working in Teams/Site Attendance

We support hybrid working, with an expectation of being on-site or in the office approximately 60% of the time, depending on client and business needs.
