Job summary

South Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority in Sheffield is seeking a Commercial Assistant to support TravelMaster operations. You will assist with customer enquiries, sales and revenue reporting, and liaise with transport operators and partners to deliver a high-quality service.

This hybrid, permanent role offers the chance to contribute to a multi-operator ticketing scheme and support communities and businesses across South Yorkshire.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administration, customer service or business support environment where accuracy and reliability are essential.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
• Confidence working with data and reports, coupled with good numerical and analytical capability.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with a genuine interest in improving services and delivering positive outcomes for customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to customers, helping to resolve enquiries and deliver a positive experience.
• Support the management of sales, ticketing and revenue information, producing reports that inform business activity and decision-making.
• Build effective relationships with transport operators, corporate customers, finance colleagues and external partners.
• Contribute to commercial activity, stakeholder engagement and promotional events that help raise awareness of TravelMaster products and services.
• Support digital communications across social media, websites and customer information channels, ensuring information remains accurate and accessible.
