Job summary

South Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority seeks a Service Information Products Officer in Sheffield to design, produce and maintain customer information across print and digital formats. You will ensure accurate, accessible information for timetable changes and passenger needs, coordinating updates with operators and partners.

You will apply strong design skills, QA practices and GIS data knowledge to improve the passenger experience and support wider transport objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and producing customer-facing information materials.
• Strong graphic design, desktop publishing or layout skills.
• Experience using software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or similar design tools.
• The ability to interpret complex timetable, route and map-based information accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A customer-focused approach with an understanding of accessibility and inclusive communication.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, produce and maintain customer information products across print, digital and electronic channels.
• Ensure service information is accurate, accessible and delivered on time to support changes and requirements.
• Produce and update timetables, maps, interchange information, website content, mobile app content and digital display information.
• Carry out quality assurance checks on customer-facing materials and ensure branding and accessibility standards are followed.
• Coordinate updates with colleagues, transport operators and external partners.
• Use feedback and data to identify opportunities for information improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to maintenance of GIS data and mapping products for accurate transport information.
