FJN Solutions is seeking an Underwriter to manage new business and renewals across a commercial property and casualty portfolio, including property owners, commercial combined and construction. You will combine autonomous risk assessment and pricing with broker relationship management to drive profitable growth, retention and portfolio performance in a dynamic insurer/MGA environment.

Role requires strong analytical mindset, delegated authority, and collaboration with colleagues to hit

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
• Experience with property owners, commercial combined and construction risks.
• Confidence in risk selection, rating and pricing within delegated authority.
• Strong broker relationship management and business development skills.
• Analytical and commercially minded with portfolio profitability knowledge.
• Proficient underwriting systems and strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments within authority.
• Build and maintain broker relationships to generate new business and improve renewals.
• Assess risk exposures and history to inform underwriting decisions.
• Support digital trading and referrals with timely, sound decisions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and loss ratios, identifying risks.
• Maintain underwriting records and provide referrals recommendations.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities to support growth.
• Achieve targets for new business, retention, portfolio quality and profitability.
