Job summary

Aviva’s Commercial & Outsourcing Legal Team is seeking a qualified solicitor or legal executive to advise on commercial contracts, including procurement and technology arrangements. You’ll navigate outsourcing, SaaS, cloud and AI contracts while collaborating with procurement, risk, data protection and information security teams.

The role offers exposure to high‑profile projects, with opportunities to develop contract standards and improve processes in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive with strong experience advising on and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience supporting technology-related contracts, such as outsourcing, software, SaaS, cloud, data and AI arrangements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and manage negotiations.
• Commercially pragmatic and able to work independently, while recognising when to seek guidance or elevate risks.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of technology, procurement and strategic business initiatives.
• Provide legal advice on supplier, technology and outsourcing contracts.
• Work closely with colleagues across Procurement, Risk, Data Protection and Information Security.
• Help deliver commercially focused solutions that support Aviva’s strategic objectives.
• Contribute to developing contract standards and continuously improving legal processes.
