The Opportunity :

A leading defence organisation is searching for a dynamic Commercial Officer to join a motivated team delivering defence capabilities through the early product lifecycle and research initiatives for the UK Armed Forces. This role encompasses critical responsibilities in contract bidding, management, and commercial negotiations.

What You Will Do as a Commercial Officer :
  • Act as a key player in winning new contracts and opportunities, supporting bidding and proposal generation
  • Participate in contract delivery, ensuring commitments to customers are met through effective management and problem-solving
  • Lead negotiations to secure agreement on contractual matters, maintaining compliance with legal and commercial policies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners, acting as an interface between internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate progress and issues effectively to senior management and represent the commercial interests in meetings
