Responsibilities

Skills

Experience in Local Government procurement in restricted environments
Experience in transport/rail environments
Understanding of Crown Commercial Frameworks
Experience working within the Public Sector
Expertise in contracting methods and T&Cs
Knowledge of pricing, contractual documentation
Experience in commercial sales, negotiation, bid prep
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Previous line management experience

As a Commercial Manager, you will:

Provide effective commercial management and governance of SEA projects, bids, and all commercial offerings for the business area, working with Divisional Management, Bid, and Project Managers.

The Commercial Manager (Intelligent Transport Systems) will be based at our Bristol site. This role allows for flexible working. The salary for this role is up to £60k, depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing
  1. You will act as the primary point of contact with Customers and Subcontractors for all commercial matters relating to contracts and bids, ensuring the business secures agreements that minimize risk, maximize profit and cashflow, optimize commercial opportunities, and comply with standards and legislation.
  2. You will negotiate and agree Customer Contracts and other relevant commercial documents, draft, negotiate, and agree sub-contracts and procurement agreements, manage sub-contractors, consult external advisory bodies on commercial best practices, and negotiate Collaboration Agreements (Non-Disclosure, Teaming, Royalty/IP Licence Agreements).
