Transport Manager - Lancaster

Gleeson has partnered with a Transport and Warehousing business seeking a Transport Manager. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in compliance and delivering cost savings to the overall operation.

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

Responsibilities:

1. Lead daily haulage operations, ensuring compliance with legal, industry, and health & safety standards.
2. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams, including drivers and transport office staff.
3. Maintain excellent relationships with customers, ensuring service delivery and proactive communication.
4. Manage P&L, aligning resources with operational and financial goals.
5. Lead, mentor, and develop team members to foster a high-performance culture.
6. Ensure adherence to DVSA guidelines, O-Licence conditions, tachograph rules, and working time directives.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in Transport & Operations Management
• Experience in Transport Compliance
• Staff Management, Route Planning, Cost Saving
• CPC qualification required
