Commercial Manager – Sponsorship (Conference Background)

Remote – UK

Base Up to 55,000+ OTE £100k

Key responsibilities:

• Sales strategy and operations: To review and implement a structured sales strategy and approaches that support sales performance, and that are reproducible across a sales team as the business grows.
• Sales management: To personally deliver on sales KPIs related to sales activity, sales revenue, and account management.
• Product conception and delivery: To represent our clients in internal discussions, strengthening the commercial performance of our products.
• Direct sales: To personally lead sales campaigns.
• Client management: To manage or oversee the management of key accounts and ensure objectives are documented and managed. Oversee client rebook meetings.
• Commercial analysis: To analyze vendor marketplaces, categorize companies, and research new sales leads.
• Sales marketing: To work with production, content, and marketing teams to design and implement a sales marketing strategy, leveraging business intelligence.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 5+ years in a commercial role at a B2B events/media business, with high-value B2B solution sales experience.
• Performance: Proven track record of meeting commercial targets, perceived as a high performer.
• Product sales experience: Live B2B events, digital products like webinars or reports, large B2B events, sponsorship, and exhibition sales.
• Sales knowledge: Understanding of sales styles and techniques, experience in training sales professionals is a plus.
• Strategy: Experience in building and executing sales plans, contributing to business and product strategies.
