Job summary

Berkshire Talent Partnership is recruiting a Commercial Manager for a leading Independent Power Producer in the UK energy transition. You will guard commercial and contractual risk across multi-technology projects, supporting them from design through construction to operation.

Qualifications

• Strong contract negotiation experience on high-value, complex projects.
• Solid grounding in dispute resolution processes — adjudication, arbitration, mediation and litigation.
• Good financial and contractual awareness.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to influence at all levels.
• Excellent organisation, planning and reporting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• A flexible, adaptable mindset that fits a fast-moving, ambitious culture.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate monthly commercial reports for the board and senior management.
• Advising on commercial risk profile and developing risk allocation strategies.
• Leading procurement planning and contracting strategy, working with external legal teams on head and subcontract templates.
• Leading negotiations with the supply chain across all stages of contract execution.
• Owning client accounts, claims and forecasts, and resolving issues as they arise.
• Summarising the commercial status of tenders and contracts for management.
• Collaborating with Project Managers to manage technical, programme and commercial interfaces; ensuring contract integration in CEMAR.
