The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a seasoned Power Markets & Commercial Contracts Manager in London to optimise revenues from a growing renewable energy portfolio. You will manage PPAs, CfDs, and route-to-market strategies while coordinating with lenders, EPCs, and off-takers to maximise project value.

Reporting to the Director of Power Markets, you will lead hedging strategies, market risk reporting, and commercial milestones from COD to operations across a multi-GW pipeline.

Formación

• 5+ years in energy markets, power trading, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of wholesale power markets and renewable revenue structures.
• Experience with PPAs, route-to-market, CfDs, Capacity Market and/or battery storage.
• Renewable energy, power generation or BESS experience desirable.
• Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Degree in commercial, engineering, finance or legal discipline.

About the Company

A leading European renewable energy IPP developing, constructing and operating utility-scale renewable energy and battery storage projects across key European markets. The company manages a significant multi-GW portfolio spanning development, construction and operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Power Markets & Origination, this newly created position combines power markets, revenue optimisation and commercial contract management.

The role is responsible for maximising revenues from operational assets while managing the commercial and contractual requirements of projects from Financial Close through to Commercial Operation Date (COD). You will work closely with asset management teams, lenders, EPC contractors and offtakers across a growing portfolio of renewable energy and BESS projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Power Markets & Revenue Optimisation
• Manage PPAs, route-to-market agreements and optimisation contracts across the operational portfolio.
• Lead negotiations for short-term PPAs and route-to-market arrangements.
• Develop and implement hedging strategies for merchant generation and storage assets.
• Oversee settlement, invoicing and revenue validation processes.
• Monitor wholesale power market exposure and provide market risk reporting.
• Conduct battery revenue benchmarking and market analysis.
• Build relationships with revenue counterparties and identify new commercial opportunities.
• Commercial Contract Management
• Manage the commercial workstream for projects during construction through to COD.
• Track key contractual milestones, longstop dates and revenue scheme obligations, including CfDs and Capacity Market agreements.
• Coordinate commercial matters between lenders, EPC contractors, offtakers and internal stakeholders.
• Support the transition of projects from construction into operations.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in energy markets, power trading, revenue optimisation, risk management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of wholesale power markets and renewable revenue structures.
• Experience with PPAs, route-to-market agreements, CfDs, Capacity Market mechanisms and/or battery storage revenues.
• Renewable energy, power generation or BESS experience highly desirable.
• Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Degree qualified in a commercial, engineering, finance, legal or related discipline.
