Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a hands-on Commercial Manager to work closely with the Senior Leadership team. Based from an office near Reading with travel to sites, you will engage with Sales, Design, Production and commercial stakeholders during pre-contract stages and ensure tight financial management of contracts.

The role requires qualifications in Quantity Surveying or construction related fields and substantial experience in contract administration, procurement and budget control.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Quantity Surveying or a construction related field.
• Experience as Commercial Manager or Project QS in a contractor, material manufacturer, or principal contractor.
• Strong background in financial management, procurement and contract administration.
• Experience in managing project budgets and setting up financial controls.
• Proven ability to administer contracts and understand contract terms.
• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial activities across pre-contract stages with senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Sales, Design, Production and commercial stakeholders including clients and principal contractors.
• Manage project budgets, procurement and financial controls.
• Provide contract administration and risk management guidance across projects.

Job description

This specialist contractor design, manufacture & install a range of Architectural Glazing & Structural Steel work across the Commercial Office & Residential Developer sectors.

As a result of expansion they are looking to recruit a hands-on Commercial Manager to work closely with the Senior Leadership team.

Based from an office near Reading & travelling to different sites you will be involved with each Project at Pre Contract stage & will be required to work closely with the Sales, Design, Production, Project Management teams, as well as commercial stakeholders within Principal Contractors and clients

Commercial Manager

• Quantity Surveying or Construction related qualification
• Experience working as a Commercial Manager or Project QS within a Construction Contractor, Construction Material Manufacturer or Principal Contractor
• Substantial experience in undertaking the financial management, procurement and administration of contracts
• Experience in managing project budgets and setting up financial controls
• Demonstrable skills to undertake contract administration
• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions
