Opportunity for a Commercial Manager

This is a superb, diverse, and exciting opportunity to join a highly respected group of companies involved in rail, heavy civil engineering, and infrastructure projects.

The company is looking to strengthen its Commercial Team and has an opening for a Commercial Manager to support the Senior Commercial Manager. The role involves managing a team of quantity surveyors and senior quantity surveyors, providing commercial support to the project director and commercial director, and coordinating contract insurance requirements, claims, and renewals.

The successful candidate will manage costs across multiple projects to ensure profitability, review and evaluate payments, and develop client relationships.

The project involves working on the C1 package of the UK High Speed 2 line (HS2), which includes 21.6 km of high-speed rail infrastructure in a rural environment, including a viaduct, twin-bored tunnels, and vent shafts. The role will be based in Maple Cross, Hertfordshire, with occasional travel to Great Missenden.

Requirements
  • Strong NEC contract experience
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Experience working on major infrastructure projects in the UK
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying preferred
  • Stable employment history
Rewards and Benefits

Salary ranging from £80,000 to £95,000 plus package, including 25 days holiday, health cover, pension scheme, and a car allowance of £7,000 per year. The project is one of the largest in Europe, offering a significant career opportunity.
