Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial performance of a portfolio of civil engineering projects. The role focuses on profitability, contract administration, and strong client engagement while stepping up from senior quantity surveying responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.
• Civil engineering/ground engineering/infrastructure background.
• Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of multiple civil engineering projects.
• Leading cost reporting, forecasting and financial performance.
• Managing subcontract procurement and subcontract accounts.
• Administration of NEC contracts, including compensation events.
• Managing client relationships and commercial negotiations.
• Preparing CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reports.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors within the team.
• Ensuring projects are delivered through to final account.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure and ground engineering projects while leading commercial performance across a varied project portfolio.

You'll work closely with operational teams, clients and senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and in line with contractual requirements.

• Full UK driving licence.
