Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our established commercial team. You will manage commercial aspects across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, from procurement through to final account, ensuring profitability and strong client relationships.

You'll work closely with operations and senior management, apply NEC contract knowledge, and mentor junior members of the team. Hybrid working and a supportive environment are on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts.
• Experience within ground engineering, piling, rail, highways, utilities or wider infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of civil engineering projects from procurement through to final account.
• Producing CVRs, cost reports and commercial forecasts.
• Managing subcontract procurement, payments and final accounts.
• Administering NEC contracts, including compensation events and change management.
• Preparing valuations and applications for payment.
• Managing project budgets and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial team where required.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to join a leading specialist civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of infrastructure work?

We're recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established commercial team, working across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and ground engineering projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of projects from inception through to final account while playing a key role in the commercial success of the business.

Working closely with operational teams and senior management, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.
