Commercial Manager

Ward Recycling Cardiff offers metal & waste recycling services to homes and businesses throughout the UK, including skip hire and car recycling, as well as nationwide projects. We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team in Cardiff, Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous metals, establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers, and exploring new business opportunities within the area. Key responsibilities include:

1. Purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
2. Creating and exploring new business opportunities.
3. Developing and increasing Ward's market share in the area.
4. Developing and presenting project proposals to commercial heads.
5. Preparing tenders for client and commercial bids to attract new business.
6. Performing due diligence on potential customers and analyzing gathered information.
7. Managing relationships with customers and suppliers, understanding their needs, and responding effectively.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Experience in the metal recycling industry.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with senior staff.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Highly self-motivated.
• Full UK driving license.

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: From £40,000 per year
• Additional pay: Performance bonus, quarterly bonus
