Currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager ideally located in the Southern half of the UK. This is a home based role, you will be allocated accounts to manage and will be expected to spend an equal amount of time servicing and growing the existing client base and generating new business for the company.
Responsibilities;
- Develop leads for new business from own lead generation and from other sources to develop a sales pipeline
- Develop business opportunities and secure sales growth by identifying prospects and evaluating their requirements, researching and analysing sales options
- Take responsibility for sales opportunities and professionally delivering a solution through disciplined sales process and technical integrity
- Provide product demonstrations to prospective customers
- Sell products and services by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure new business is implemented successfully
- Perform after sales calls to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained
- Maintaining relationships with customers by providing support, information and guidance, researching and recommending new opportunities, profit and service improvements
- Processing sales activity and performance data by collecting, analysing and summarising information
- Process quotes for customers using the company systems and maintaining company standards of presentation and quality
- Identifying product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitor activity
- Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing company brand values
Essential Qualities:
- Preferably 5 years proven sales track record within the packaging industry – full product training will be given
- Highly results motivated with a with a positive outlook and particular focus on customer service
- Be a creative, inventive thinker who is able to work autonomously
- Familiar, comfortable and skilled in the use of computer technology and software particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM systems, web hosted sales software and business social media
- Be highly organised with solid administration and reporting skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the South region.
- Must be a car driver
