Qualifications

  • Qualified in contract law or relevant legal background is desirable.

About The Role

You will be working on current and future platforms, and working closely with project management, technical teams and wider stakeholders to deliver compliant bids into the Customer.

The Commercial Manager will be based at any of our sites. This role allows for flexible working.

The salary for this role is up to £70k, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
  • Negotiate and agree Customer Contracts and other relevant commercial documents. Responsible for drafting, negotiating, and agreeing sub-contracts and major or complex procurement agreements.
  • Manage customers and act as a key customer commercial contact. Undertake commercial management of sub-contractors and coordinate contract reviews for new projects.

The skills you need
  • Experience in Government procurement
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience in the MOD, Defence, or Aerospace industry
  • Qualified in contract law or hold a general law degree (desirable)
  • Expertise in contracting methods and T&Cs
  • Knowledge of customer through-life support
  • Knowledge of pricing, terms, conditions, and contractual documentation
  • Experience in commercial sales transactions, negotiation, and bid preparation
