Omnia Inclusive Employment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial team on construction and engineering projects. This role focuses on NEC contract administration, project finances and commercial risk.

Location: Bolton. Permanent, full-time with hybrid working (Fridays from home). Salary £70k-£75k depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package and career development opportunities.

Competenze

Proven experience in Quantity Surveying at Senior level.
Degree qualification in relevant discipline.
Strong experience with NEC Contracts.
Good contractual and commercial understanding.

Mansioni

Lead, manage and develop the Commercial team, providing direction and mentoring for multiple projects.
Oversee contractual and commercial management activities, including NEC contracts and subcontractor agreements.
Monitor project financial performance: cost forecasting, cash flow, WIP, CVR and monthly reports.
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities with Project Managers and senior stakeholders.
Manage payment applications, debtor recovery, subcontractor accounts and commercial negotiations.

This position would suit an experienced Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Senior Commercial Lead with a strong background in construction, civil engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing NEC contracts, subcontractor agreements, project finances and commercial risk.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage and develop the Commercial team, providing clear direction, mentoring and professional development to ensure effective commercial support across multiple projects.
Oversee contractual and commercial management activities, including NEC contracts, subcontractor agreements, variations, change control, final accounts and contractual compliance.
Monitor project financial performance, including cost forecasting, cash flow, work in progress (WIP), cost value reconciliation (CVR), profit margins and monthly commercial reporting.
Work closely with Project Managers, Planners and senior stakeholders to identify commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring projects achieve agreed financial targets and contractual obligations.
Manage payment applications, debtor recovery, subcontractor accounts and commercial negotiations, whilst developing strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement in commercial procedures.
