Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor or FCILEx for Bristol or remote UK-based work. You will handle a varied caseload of high-value contractual disputes for Claimants and Defendants, within a national law firm.

The role requires strong technical knowledge across contract disputes, ownership of cases, and supervision of junior staff. Competitive salary £45,000–£60,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of contract based disputes.
• Ability to take full ownership of cases and strategic direction.
• Experience supervising junior team members, including providing guidance and resolving complaints.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to team development.
• Experience dealing with costs issues.
• Commercial, pragmatic and intellectually curious approach.
• Ability to work flexibly with a wide range of clients and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Managing a personal caseload, high value contractual disputes.
• Advising on commercial contracts, consumer contracts, misrepresentation, professional negligence and building disputes.
• Taking full responsibility for case strategy and day to day client relationships.
• Supervising and supporting a small number of junior case handlers.
• Working collaboratively within a supportive, cooperative team environment.
• Handling costs matters, including pre costs work and detailed assessment.

Education

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEx or equivalent experience
