As part of our Cost Management team, you'll be involved in a wide range of projects from global and high-profile to small and impactful, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Your expertise in planning, estimating, budgeting, and managing costs will drive growth and smarter working. Due to recent tender success, we have initiated a proactive recruitment campaign to seek the best talent to join our fantastic team. We are looking for an inclusive, dynamic, and people-focused commercial leader who has a passion for making a positive difference within and around our Birmingham communities. The successful applicant will act as a commercial lead with some of our key infrastructure clients, overseeing multi-billion pounds of investment in and around the city of Birmingham.

In addition, this role will offer the opportunity to be part of our Birmingham management team, leading a diverse team across various backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. The successful candidate will be required to support the growth and development of the team as well as work with our wider business development teams to support ongoing growth and diversification of our accounts. We also welcome applicants with ideas on how we can disrupt and transform the Cost & Commercial profession in the future, particularly regarding digital technology, sustainability, and social value.

  • Leading the overall commercial delivery and performance of the projects externally and internally, from inception through to completion and handover into Business As Usual.
  • Liaising with the commercial and wider functions within Arcadis and our project partners to foster positive relationships and generate win-win commercial positions.
  • Overseeing change control processes through close interaction with the project teams.
  • Overseeing contractual compliance, commercial excellence, and commercial risk management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience providing commercial solutions to clients and creating win-win commercial positions; note: we will consider individuals who are not from an infrastructure background and are keen for a new opportunity.
  • A dynamic individual who enjoys finding and implementing solutions to challenges and opportunities.
