Solution Lead- Commercial

We are recruiting an experienced Architect to support our platinum accounts. The successful candidate will need to be innovative, motivated, autonomous, and capable of developing and presenting secure solutions to customers, leadership, and technical teams.

Note: Due to customer requirements, successful applicants must be eligible for high-level UK Security clearance (SC).

About the Role:

As the Strategic Sales Solution Lead, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions, including industry and business approaches, implementation methods, technology use, business and IT processes, and influencing commercial and financial models. Ideally, you have a cross-industry background working with commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deal Shaping: Develop and present customized solutions to clients, validate solution fit, and demonstrate how solutions meet client business cases and objectives.
  • Opportunity Qualification: Assess whether DXC solutions offer a competitive advantage, evaluate risks, define mitigation plans, and confirm DXC’s delivery capability.
  • Solution Development: Responsible for solution development, competitive costing, commercial proposition integration, and business case alignment.
  • Client Interaction: Clearly articulate all solution aspects, persuade clients of value, and influence decision-making both virtually and face-to-face.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with clients, partners, and internal teams to design solutions aligned with clients’ digital strategies and DXC objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support sales teams in engaging with decision-makers to position DXC effectively.
  • Leverage ITIL 4 experience to enhance service delivery.
  • Evaluate offering capabilities and SME preparedness for proposed solutions.
  • Validate customer needs against proposed solutions.
  • Assist in final opportunity validation and go/no-go decisions.
  • Provide feedback on competitive positioning and help define win themes.
  • Align solutions with client business goals and architectures.
  • Understand complex business problems and apply logical, systematic approaches.
  • Stay updated on market trends and disruptive technologies.
  • Create client-centric, requirements-driven value propositions.
  • Learn new business models quickly and articulate how DXC can help clients meet their goals.
  • Present to CxOs, discuss business processes, and work on solution strategies and architectures.
  • Produce clear responses emphasizing business benefits and solutions’ value.
  • Use DXC and partner demonstrations to showcase solutions.
  • Exhibit influencing skills and establish thought leadership and trust.
  • Communicate effectively, simplifying complex ideas for diverse audiences.
  • Lead large IT projects, including consulting, pre/post-sales, and design/build initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, drive cultural change, and foster innovation.
  • Influence clients, senior leaders, and partners.
  • Mentor team members, fostering a high-performance environment.
