Role Title: Commercial Hair & Beauty Technician

Location: Yale

Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term (Until Dec 2025)

We currently have a vacancy for a Commercial Hair & Beauty Technician at our Yale site. The main responsibilities include providing technical support for hair and beauty learning activities across curriculum workshops, commercial salons, and off-site venues. Technicians are responsible for ensuring learning materials, tools, and equipment are sufficient for these activities.

Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining learning materials, tools, and equipment; keeping workshop areas tidy; ensuring a safe environment; assisting with installation, maintenance, and servicing of equipment; and managing stock records using centralised software.

Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.

Salary: £24,823 - £26,338

Essential Requirements

• Prepare and maintain learning materials, work pieces, tools, and equipment for practical learning environments.
• Keep workshop areas and storerooms tidy, especially tools and equipment.
• Ensure a healthy and safe environment for students and visitors.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of workshop machinery and equipment.
• Control, order, and maintain records of stock and resources using the software database.
