Job summary

Biscuit International UK is seeking a Commercial Development Executive to join our Gateshead team. You will drive customer activation, manage trade marketing initiatives, and lead commercial projects that enhance visibility and distribution across UK retail channels.

You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Category, R&D, Supply Chain and Operations to translate plans into impactful activities that support growth and market share.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of FMCG experience preferred
• Exposure to Category, Trade Marketing, Sales or Commercial functions
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Commercially curious with proactive problem-solving
• Excellent PowerPoint and presentation/storytelling capability
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
• High attention to detail and execution focus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
• Desirable: experience with customer activation plans and product launches

Responsibilities

• Trade marketing and customer activation across key accounts
• Coordinate trade marketing initiatives, promotions and seasonal activations
• Develop customer-facing materials like launch presentations and sales tools
• Monitor activations and identify improvement opportunities
• Support product launches and maximise visibility and distribution
• Maintain project trackers and support cross-functional teams to deliver on time
• Review artwork and packaging for commercial compliance
• Act as a central coordination point between Sales, Category, R&D, Supply Chain and Operations
• Analyse EPOS and customer data to identify growth opportunities
• Support category and market trend analysis to drive recommendations
• Track promotions, launches and activation performance
• Maintain commercial dashboards and KPI reporting
• Support monthly business reviews and performance updates
