The candidate will work independently, ensure gas safety and industry compliance, and represent the company professionally on client sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in HVAC or commercial gas.
• Clean UK driving licence.
• DBS checks required or ability to pass.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial gas systems.
• Plan and perform reactive maintenance of gas and a/c systems.
• Work on oil burners, boilers and oil systems.
• Maintain high standards and safety standards on-site.
• Represent the company professionally at client sites across the South West.

JWB Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer to work over the South West of England.

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Gas & HVAC Engineer to join their team, supporting a portfolio of sites across South West England. This senior-level position is ideal for an engineer confident working independently across a wide range of commercial environments.

You will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems, air conditioning equipment, and oil-fired plant. Sites include healthcare facilities, retail premises, education settings, and wider commercial buildings, so professionalism, strong communication, and consistently high standards of workmanship are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, service, and repair of commercial gas systems
• Planned and reactive maintenance of gas and air conditioning systems
• Work on oil burners, boilers, and tanked oil systems
• Delivering high-quality work across healthcare, retail, education, and commercial sites
• Ensuring full compliance with gas safety, F-Gas, OFTEC, and industry standards
• Representing the company professionally on client sites across the South West

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in the HVAC or commercial gas industry
• Clean UK driving licence
• Current DBS or ability to pass standard and enhanced DBS checks
• Domestic & Commercial Gas qualifications (Natural Gas & LPG)
• OFTEC certification or strong experience with oil-fired systems (Desired)
• F-Gas certification or strong working knowledge of A/C service and maintenance

The Package:

• Up to £53,000 basic salary (DOE)
