Job summary

JWB Recruitment LTD is recruiting a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer to cover sites across the South West of England. The role involves installation, service, maintenance and repair of commercial gas systems, plus air conditioning and oil-fired plant, with opportunities to work across healthcare, retail, education, and other commercial environments.

You will work independently, ensuring gas safety compliance and high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in HVAC or commercial gas industries.
• Clean UK driving licence.
• Current DBS or ability to pass DBS checks.
• Natural Gas & LPG qualifications.

Responsibilities

JWB Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer to work over the South West of England.

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Gas & HVAC Engineer to join their team, supporting a portfolio of sites across South West England. This senior-level position is ideal for an engineer confident working independently across a wide range of commercial environments.

You will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems, air conditioning equipment, and oil-fired plant. Sites include healthcare facilities, retail premises, education settings, and wider commercial buildings, so professionalism, strong communication, and consistently high standards of workmanship are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, service, and repair of commercial gas systems
• Planned and reactive maintenance of gas and air conditioning systems
• Work on oil burners, boilers, and tanked oil systems
• Delivering high-quality work across healthcare, retail, education, and commercial sites
• Ensuring full compliance with gas safety, F-Gas, OFTEC, and industry standards
• Representing the company professionally on client sites across the South West

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in the HVAC or commercial gas industry
• Clean UK driving licence
• Current DBS or ability to pass standard and enhanced DBS checks
• Domestic & Commercial Gas qualifications (Natural Gas & LPG)
• OFTEC certification or strong experience with oil-fired systems (Desired)
• F-Gas certification or strong working knowledge of A/C service and maintenance

The Package:

• Up to £53,000 basic salary (DOE)
