Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to service and maintain boilers and heating systems across commercial properties in Scotland, including the Central Belt. You will perform PPM, reactive repairs, and minor installation works, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The successful candidate will have Commercial Gas qualifications, strong fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Commercial Gas Engineer in facilities management or building services.
• Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent).
• Experience servicing and maintaining commercial boilers and heating systems.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong Health & Safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
• Service, maintain and repair commercial boilers and heating systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Complete minor installation and replacement works as required.
• Undertake basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance duties where required.
• Ensure work complies with legislation and industry standards.
• Complete documentation accurately using electronic or paper systems.
• Liaise with clients and colleagues to provide excellent service.
• Participate in on-call rota as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely per company policies.

Commercial Gas Engineer - Central Belt - Salary up to £47,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established facilities management and building services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of commercial properties, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and minor installation works.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring building services are maintained to the highest standards, delivering a professional service while maintaining compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
• Service, maintain and repair commercial boilers, heating systems and associated plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Complete minor installation and replacement works as required.
• Undertake basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance duties where required.
• Carry out inspections and ensure all work complies with current legislation and industry standards.
• Complete all required documentation accurately using electronic or paper-based systems.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and colleagues to provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in an on-call rota where required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and Health & Safety regulations.

About You

• Previous experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer within facilities management, building services or a similar environment.
• Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent).
• Experience servicing and maintaining commercial boilers and heating systems.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience.
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• A full UK driving licence.

Desirable

• LPG qualifications.
• Domestic Gas qualifications.
• F-Gas certification.
• 18th Edition.
• Electrical knowledge or additional building services experience.
• Experience working within schools, healthcare, retail or commercial buildings.
