Job summary

Vortex Engineering Services Ltd is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team for varied work across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. The role requires installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial gas and heating systems, with occasional domestic work if needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' experience, strong communication skills and a full, clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Gas Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial gas work.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Experience with commercial boilers, plant rooms and heating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain commercial gas and heating systems.
• Fault find and repair on commercial boilers and plant rooms.
• Work to drawings, specifications and site requirements.
• Complete gas safety checks and documentation.
• Submit digital job sheets via tablet or mobile.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage their day effectively while working as part of a team.

The role involves the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial gas and heating systems across a range of commercial sites, with occasional domestic work if required. Experience with commercial heating systems is essential, with further training provided where required.

• Commercial gas installations and pipework
• Servicing, maintenance and fault finding on commercial gas and heating systems
• Boiler and plant room maintenance
• Working to drawings, specifications and site requirements
• Carrying out gas safety checks and completing relevant documentation
• Completing digital job sheets via tablet/mobile
• Working safely and in accordance with company and site procedures

Requirements

• Relevant Gas Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
• Experience with commercial boilers and heating systems
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Minimum of one employer reference
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Commercial catering or specialist gas experience
• Experience with plant rooms and larger commercial heating systems
• Additional heating or HVAC qualifications
