Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join the team covering Coventry/Oxford M40. The role includes service, maintenance of HVAC assets, and responding to callouts, with a salary of £46,994 including on-call standby 1:4.

You'll work 42.5 hours per week (8:30am-5:00pm), receive a van, fuel card, tools, uniform, IT equipment, and 25 days' holiday plus 8 bank holidays, with overtime available and a strong focus on health, safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Recognised Commercial Gas qualifications – at least 4 listed.
• F Gas (2079) qualification.
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable).
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS/HWS safety essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM schedule with accurate paperwork.
• Respond promptly to service calls and repair within timescales.
• Maintain HVAC assets including gas-fired systems, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, boilers, pumps and chillers.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Qualifications & Experience – Commercial Gas Engineer

• You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications – you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F Gas (2079) qualified
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (including G3 Unvented HWS) – Essential
