Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is assisting a client in recruiting a Commercial Gas Engineer for Slough/Reading. The role focuses on maintenance and service of HVAC systems on major supermarket contracts, with a salary around £46,994 and on-call duties.

Requirements include Commercial Gas qualifications, F Gas, and ideally 17th/18th Edition; HWSS/HWS knowledge is essential. On offer: 42.5 hours weekly, 25 days plus 8 bank holidays, van and tools provided.

Qualifications

• F Gas (2079) qualification required.
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable).
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS/HWS safety essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM schedule and paperwork accurately.
• Respond promptly to service calls from Helpdesk and assess repair needs.
• Maintain HVAC assets including gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, boilers and chillers.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
• Work within Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Commercial Gas Engineer

£46,994.00 (salary including on call standby 1:4)

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Qualifications & Experience – Commercial Gas Engineer

• You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications – you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F Gas (2079) qualified
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (including G3 Unvented HWS) – Essential

• Travel time after ½ hour each way
